Microsoft 3D Builder Empty Microsoft 3D Builder

So I have been trying to push myself and create more complicated pieces to print. Being the novice designer that I am I had lots of inverted triangles, tangled mesh, reversed faces all those fun little quirks and impediments. I use Sketchup and it has some nice repair programs but I was still running into issues. I saw some comments on Thingiverse about Microsoft 3D builder. It comes with Windows 10 so I have it on my new laptop but I never used it for more than viewing models. For a few days now I have actually been using it to scan and repair models and I LOVE IT. As soon as you upload a model it scans it for errors and asks if you want it to repair them. After that is has a powerful smoother, merge tool, and triangle reducer built in. I haven't had a single problem with any model I have repaired with it. I strongly recommend it for anyone new to designing.

Thanks for the tip. I didn't know you could use it to repair models. I'll try it out.

You can also use it to easily divide a model into multiple pieces for larger printing.
