What tapes have you tried? What works? What doesn't.
Here are the two I have used that work with the printer.
Scotch regular masking tape and 3M painters tape.

I have found that 3M standard masking tape does not work at all. It has a slick non-stick surface on it.

I've also tried the following:
1) Buildtak (not too impressed -- I destroyed my sheet the first day). Expensive.
2) 3M ScotchBlue Tape type 2093EL (not bad, but not ideal -- it's too rubbery. This type of tape can be identified by its faint yellow "3M" branding printed on the tape. Moderately priced.
3) Generic green tape, as sold in the Dollarama store is not bad (and cheap!), but slightly coarser texture than the 3M Blue Painter's Tape. Tends to leave a faint residue on bottom surfaces.
4) 3M Blue Painter's Tape type 2090 is the best I've found to date. Moderately priced. I prefer the 50mm width rolls (as opposed to larger/more expensive sheets or the narrower and less convenient rolls). Recommended!
5) Kapton: Expensive, tears easily. Good for heated beds.
6) Masking tape: not good, as mentioned in the photo caption above.
7) Glue Stick: Handy to have on hand when other methods fail.
8) Hairspray ("Aqua Net Extra Hold" works well). Messy. Don't use unless you remove the plate first.
9) Glass plate with ABS/acetone "slurry" - works well for improving adhesion of ABS, but generally messy and stinky.
10) Glass plate. Works for Semiflex and certain other filaments, particularly at lower speeds. Produces a super shiny surface. Adhesion issues are likely.

Anybody have luck finding a good tape for printing ABS? With the platform at 100 deg C, I'm still not getting good adherence to the blue tape (which came with the printer). I'd rather not have to start messing with the hair spray/glue stick stuff...

ABS is tricky, given that it shrinks roughly 6% as it cools. Thus, the goal is to keep the bed heated to a temperature that minimizes this shrinkage until enough layers are built up to avoid warping.

Really, ABS/Acetone 'Slurry' straight onto a glass plate and then heating the bed to 110C (I think 100C is the maximum of the Root Plus, though?) is about the best you can hope for, unless you go to the extraordinary step of building a heated enclosure for the unit (which might introduce overheating issues to the electronics).
As much as I like the Root Plus' open design, I feel that it is not ideally suited to the technical requirements of ABS. IMO, a "closed box" design with an acrylic hood, door and side panels, like the Flashforge Creator Pro, is better suited for managing the heat requirements of ABS.

Of course, if you don't mind that 6% shrinkage, smell and the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] of ABS and acetone, it does produce lovely prints.

I hate working with ABS and would avoid it if I could, but I need something that can withstand the temperatures inside a car in the sun for some parts.

Just tried that expensive Kapton tape, and it completely failed. After printing the raft, at some point the entire piece slipped off the platform and I got a messy curled up ball of ABS because I stopped watching it after the raft successfully printed. Sigh...

Okay, I'm now a hair spray believer.  Same Kapton tape where it failed miserably, with hairspray there is perfect adhesion.  Perfectly flat raft with no warp, I had to scrap to get it off the platform!

Only thing I use is Final Net - no tape at all... after every 4 prints, I clean the glass and re-apply.
